Job responsibilities
- Handle daily purchase requirements, sourcing materials on time and within budget
- Visit markets and vendor locations to assess availability, quality and pricing
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
- Prepare, process and track purchase orders, resolving discrepancies promptly
- Keep internal teams updated on order status and potential delays
Profile
- 2+ years handling purchasing operations, ideally in garments or textiles
- Strong negotiation and vendor coordination skills
- Comfortable with Excel and PO tracking tools
- Proactive - this role is judged on catching problems before they escalate
